As a member of the International Association for College Admission Counseling, we are committed to promoting professional standards that foster ethical and social responsibility.
By building trust and adhering to the professional code of ethics, we create strong partnerships with students, families, and schools to make goals achievable and learning exciting.
Altiora Learning was founded by Agnes Horvath, who has over 20 years of experience in education as a teacher, year head, university guidance counsellor, and SLT member.
Trained as a historian, Agnes was a post-graduate research scholar at the University of Cambridge when she realised her true passion lies in supporting others on their journey towards knowledge. Having indulged her interest in social and cultural history to the hilt, she turned towards education and young people and has never looked back. Hungarian by birth and British by choice, she has lived and worked in the USA, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK, and has a deep understanding of the educational landscapes of several countries.
Before starting Altiora, Agnes led an internationally recognised talent development programme, heading a team responsible for over 200 students and more than 50 advisors, steering her students towards top universities worldwide. She also led the development of innovative, bespoke education solutions with the mission of increasing equity of access to higher education.
Having advised students on global applications, we firmly believe in global interaction among counsellors and institutions in support of secondary students transitioning to higher education. We also stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments to provide students with the most effective strategies for success.
